[The camera pans around on an open work space that's under construction. There are ladders, sawdust, freshly cut lumber and a good deal of paint lying around. Occasionally a carpenter or painter can be seen. The camera travels across the store to what appears to be a check out counter before Lucy turns the camera to face her. She's wearing overalls today and she's got smudges of paint in varying shades of pink and red on her face, hands, arms and in her hair.]

Everything with the store is going well. I think anyway. I'm hoping we'll be open in a couple of weeks but it looks like a lot still has to be done to me. I guess everyone survived one of those weekends again. It's fall though and things are getting cooler. Football will be here soon.

By the end of the month. Possibly in two weeks but I think there's too much to do for that.

So uh. I got cursed this weekend. It was pretty fucking intense. And... I kind of miss it.

With the family thing. [Yeah she skimmed the network. She just didn't think poking her nose in his business was good considering.]

Some of the curses are really cruel that way.

[The only people who will see it is Harry when and if he comes back for his seasonal visit. They really are pretty much non-hackable unless you're an outright genius at it.]

I don't mean to contribute to any stereotypes, but I don't get along great with my parents. And I've always been scared I'd turn out like them, especially when I was with Julie. But with the curse... it worked, you know? I was happy. Really happy. Like, way more than I ever remember being in my fucking life. Now I just don't know if I'll ever get that again, you know?

I guess, uh, it kinda cleared up some other stuff for me, though.

Figuring the other stuff out is good.

[She sighs because she hasn't ever really been cursed this way so she doesn't necessarily get it but she does understand wanting to be that happy all of the time.]

One of these days you'll have a family like that and you'll be happy and it will be real. You have to remember with a family, you get to create your own. Your friends can become your brothers and you can have children, even if you have to adopt. The curse wasn't real but it didn't show you anything that you can't have one of these days.
