[The camera pans around on an open work space that's under construction. There are ladders, sawdust, freshly cut lumber and a good deal of paint lying around. Occasionally a carpenter or painter can be seen. The camera travels across the store to what appears to be a check out counter before Lucy turns the camera to face her. She's wearing overalls today and she's got smudges of paint in varying shades of pink and red on her face, hands, arms and in her hair.]

Everything with the store is going well. I think anyway. I'm hoping we'll be open in a couple of weeks but it looks like a lot still has to be done to me. I guess everyone survived one of those weekends again. It's fall though and things are getting cooler. Football will be here soon.

Several months ago this vampire--not the sparkly kind or the ooo sexy brooding kind, just the creepy kind--got interested in me. Harry did his thing and he became less interested but now...Harry's gone and Rido is still creepy. I'm drool worthy again.

Just be careful. I wouldn't put it past him to hurt my friends.

[Dulcie still has twinges about Lucy's death, and how she could have stopped it. She'd stopped paying attention to people's timelines in the City and she had missed the chance to save her. So don't worry, Lucy. A certain angel is keeping a VERY close eye on your future, and making sure it goes exactly the way it's supposed to.]

I'm more worried about everyone else. I don't think--I'm already dead. It's like a cat messing with a mouse once it's dead. What's fun is the game. I don't want my friends to become part of that game.
