With Jill gone, Lucy has found herself unexpectedly a part of the Winchester family, and it's something that she needs. Lucy doesn't do well alone; she never has. For their Tuesday night dinner, she bakes a pie (as usual) as well as hummingbird cupcakes. She's dressed in a cute yellow minidress because according to her calendar, there's a decent chance Cas could be human and she enjoys looking particularly cute those times of the month.

There's something different about dinner in the bunker with friends and dinner in the Houndstooth with friends. Lucy loves the Houndstooth and wouldn't know what to do without it. It gives her a purpose as well as a place to be around others, but dinners with the Winchesters feel more like a family event, more like a home. Some nights they all stay up and play games for a while, some nights Ruby and Sam slip away early. Tonight is one of those nights. Dean insists it's his turn to do the dishes (Lucy thinks he secretly enjoys doing the dishes with music on the radio; she's not wrong). That leaves Lucy and Cas with the rest of the evening to themselves.

"Walk me home?" Lucy invites him.

Jill is not someone he had the chance to meet; however, he has heard a few things about Lucy's friend in passing and he could say he understands Lucy need for company without her close friend here anymore. Winchester Tuesday's are always eventful, but this particular one more so as Cas finds himself more human than angel. The cupcakes she brings with her are delightful and over the course of the night he helps himself to one too many. The sundress she chooses to wear also happens to hold his attention for points he doesn't realize it counts as staring.

Having her as an addition to their gatherings (an addition to their family) livens things up. Cas involves himself more in the games when Lucy is around even though half the time he fails to understand the point of some of them and needs assistance. Tonight is certainly not one of those nights. It is just Lucy and him when the evening is half over but to be fair the evening does not feel like it has some to a close with her presence still there.

It's an invite he accepts. "Sure. I should see that you get back safely."
