[Lucy is pacing through the store, adjusting last minute vases of roses, straightening bottles of perfume, tubes of lotion and bubble bath as she goes. She's got a few candles lit and scattered around the store. There's a table with coffee, sweet tea and lemonade along with various pastries and cookies near the register. Everything is as ready for opening day as Lucy can possibly make it. She takes a deep breath, runs her hands down the skirt of her red dress and unlocks the front door.]

I didn't really ever ask him where he got his money from, other then I know he did science stuff. I didn't think it was my business.

Yeah. [She's quiet a moment because Lucy is definitely still doing the getting over the Master thing. She's just a lot better than she was a few months ago.]

Yeah. I'm more careful now. I sleep with my room mate at night because I like the body heat and it's weird that I'm so quiet. No breathing, no heartbeat but...I'm here and if I were home I wouldn't be.

That it isn't worth joining them.

Nothing that you wouldn't already be aware of... sensations are dulled, but still present. But the main benefit of my research is that I'm better able to treat any patient that has this condition. I've been able to determine which treatments are useless, and which are helpful.

Well, of course none of my research here is an absolute. The curses seem to delight in defying scientific method.
