[Lucy is pacing through the store, adjusting last minute vases of roses, straightening bottles of perfume, tubes of lotion and bubble bath as she goes. She's got a few candles lit and scattered around the store. There's a table with coffee, sweet tea and lemonade along with various pastries and cookies near the register. Everything is as ready for opening day as Lucy can possibly make it. She takes a deep breath, runs her hands down the skirt of her red dress and unlocks the front door.]

Over a year? Maybe we've just got different interests most of the time? Except where bubble bath and lotion is concerned.

Quite possible, and work has kept me quite busy. I don't get out as much as I'd like.

I'm a Doctor at the hospital. That, and I oversee one of the City's research facilities.

Oh, next time I'm hurt, I'm so namedropping to get out of the emergency room more quickly.

I don't think giving my name will aid you in that matter. But if you wish, you can ask for me.

Okay. Are you involved in the research that's trying to figure out a way to escape?

That is one of the projects being researched, yes. But it hasn't been anything that I've taken an active role in studying. My strengths lie in other areas.

You might have known Harry then. He did research stuff but I don't know who he worked for.

Ah, Mr. Harold Saxon. Yes, he was in my employ.

Oh. Well then the gift basket is on me. Inadvertently, you helped pay for this place. Harry left me his money when he left the City and I set up this place with it.

Oh? I hadn't realized I was paying him so much. Something to discuss should he return~.

I didn't really ever ask him where he got his money from, other then I know he did science stuff. I didn't think it was my business.

He's a brilliant scientist. The organization suffered a tremendous loss when he left.

Yeah. [She's quiet a moment because Lucy is definitely still doing the getting over the Master thing. She's just a lot better than she was a few months ago.]

I always sort of figured he'd find a way to get us all out.

[His voice softens and he offers her a small smile in an attempt to say something comforting.]

It's true that his talents are quite rare. But there are others who are working towards that goal...

[She appreciates the attempt.]

It's okay. I'd really rather stay here anyway. Besides, I'm dead so not going anywhere.

I focused some of my studies on the City's dead~.

Yeah. I was murdered a couple of months ago.

[His voice sobers considerably.]
