Sometimes the world is entirely too disturbing

SO you know those ad thingys on the journals? Yeah I could get rid of them and get a paid account but that's a tube of lip gloss. I'd rather be amused by the ads and have my lip gloss. Anyway, I saw this ad on the side of my journal. It was horrifying! Apparently you can rent designer bags. Going to some fancy party, rent a Judith Lieber evening bag. Going shopping and want to fool the sales girls into thinking you have money (which is just wrong. They work on commission sometimes.) rent a Prada.

What is our world coming to? You can tell so very much about person by what they decide to spend their money on! If you can suddenly rent the essentials like Gucci, Coach and Prada that throws everything off kilter. And it's not as if you can ask someone 'Oh! Your Gucci is gorgous! Did you rent it or buy it?' It's just rude.

I'm very upset. I'm wondering if I can call the Better Business Bureau and get this people put out of business. I'm disturbed now and I think I have to go buy a Coach bag or something. Probably matching shoes. I'll get you a pair, Jill.

Yeah those ads are... interesting. Do you use Firefox for a browser? I can hook you up with a few links that will make those horrible ads just... well... vanish. Personally I hate the ads and I'm glad I never have to see them.

No! I use IE but I could probaby use Firefox. Sometimes the ads amuse me, sometimes they inform me and sometimes they just horrify me.

You really should use Firefox. I love my extensions. I can log into my journal with an extension, and it blocks the ads with a different one, and even can kill those navigation bars that some people just don't know where the setting is at too. Plus it has spell check built in. Life. Saver.

If you swap over, let me know. I'll link you to stuff.
