It's a thing. A football thing. Which is a game that boys play in tight pants. They throw a ball around and it is epic. You just have to trust me on this.
Anyway in Alabama there's a college team called the Alabama Crimson Tide and their motto thing is 'Roll Tide'. And it's appropriate as a greeting, a goodbye, a celebration...pretty much anything. You just say roll tide.
And it's very very home. No one else in the world gets it except someone from Alabama and I am very, very homesick, Sage.
Shhh you did good. Roll tide is always a good thing to say to me. It just caught me sorta by surprise. I get used to the whole City going '...what?' when I say it. It just...seems a lot like home whenever you say it. That's a good thing.
Nah, like football in the snow. Get a game going; always see soccer around here, never any football.
Not even, just cleaning up a crapton of code, actually. We had a couple of guys who used to work here and they left the City so I've been trying to go through their files. Meh-ssy.
The Master's a little bit of an advantage-taker, possibly. He comes and finds Lucy, anyway.
"We can find you the next season, if you'd like. Or another person from Alabama to talk to. Or someone who plays for the Crimson Tide. I'll hunt any of those down if deemed necessary."
Well he's got to take his chances at being awesome when he can.
His offer makes her smile then giggle. "I kind of thing the Boys need everybody on the Team and that would make Coach Saben sad or maybe angry but next season would be amazing."
And he gets an armful of Lucy along with a kiss against his jaw.
"I do try," says the Master modestly. Well. At least a pretense of modesty. "And expressing your issues through posts does rather make it into a game." He raises his eyebrows. "More interesting."
"And who wants to be boring or have anything like privacy." Lucy bounces on the balls of her feet when she says it. Privacy and boring are way over rated as far as Lucy is concerned. Even when interesting can be tiring.
"I'm sure we are," says the Master, reassuringly. Even though he has no clue who they are. "So would you prefer MORE impromptu posts? Videos going up without you realising?"

[...this is less than helpful, he realizes, and he runs a hand over his hair as he searches his mind for something more comforting.]
I could get it now? When you say it. ...does that help?
Re: video (
Roll tide!
Also, I have a dvd of Bama's last season that someone who's gone home gave me. I could show you football if you wanted.
video (
Oh--sure. I'd like that.
Re: video (
You don't have to if you're totally not interested in sports.

[Momentary flail and--] No, I--like sports, I was a cheerleader. Once.
Re: video (
Really? That is awesome. I was a cheerleader too!
video (
I'm not surprised. That you were a cheerleader.
Re: video (
I give off that vibe?

Roll tide.
[She takes a deep breath, looks up at the ceiling and keeps her gaze fixed there, trying not to fall apart]
You know I love you, right?

[Have oops-face! Also some awkward...] Well, yeah. Of course. You know I love you too.
no subject
Well duh. Of course you do.

Working on something fun at least?

Blech. That sounds gross, Hardison. You need to find the fun.

"Then I will find it, and we can watch it. You can even have a couple of parties for it, if you'd like that."
Re: [Action]
She pauses, giving him a grateful smile. "Thank you, Harry."
If she could say the words to Harry as easily as she could to Hardison, she'd be breaking out the L word right now.

"I was hoping to have higher rating then a handful of deities. We're lots more entertaining than Spencer and Heidi."
